Prairie Meadows is a Thoroughbred, Harness racing, and Quarterhorse racetrack located in Altoona, Iowa, US.
The race dirt track is approximately 1 mile in length, amd offers a chute for quarter horses. The racing season begins in April and ends in July.
Gaming facilities are also available, and are very popular in the racing off-season.
The casino has 1,500 slot machines and 33 casino game tables, offering poker, roulette, and blackjack. Prairie Meadows also serves as a venue for free concerts which attract thousands of visitors annually.
